Aims & Scope

The Journal for Evidence-based Practices in Correctional Health began as the electronic publication of The Center for Correctional Health Networks (CCHNet) in 2015 under the Editor-in-Chief Deborah Shelton, Ph.D., RN, NE-BC, CCHP, FAAN. JEPCH provides an inclusive forum for evidence-based practices in correctional healthcare inclusive of all persons who have had an involvement with the criminal justice system - incarcerated and community-based populations. Attention to the context in which correctional healthcare is delivered is essential, inclusive of systems/models of care, costs and workforce issues. JEPCH publishes up to four Issues/Year: Winter (Jan-Mar); Spring (Apr-Jun); Summer (Jul-Sep); and Fall (Oct-Dec). An Open Call for articles is on-going. An effort is made to release manuscripts within a three-month timeline. There are no costs to authors.
